Project Management

The Project Management team is responsible for leading projects through initiation, planning, execution, and completion. Our Project Managers collaborate regularly with multiple groups such as our clients, external vendors, and functional delivery teams. Working hand-in-hand with the functional delivery teams, they facilitate delivery of great work.

Delivery Management

The Delivery Management team is responsible for the delivery of the development, project leadership and the quality and timely delivery of our work. Within the Delivery Management team, we have our Technical Delivery Manager and our Functional Delivery Teams. These functions focus on the technical aspects of our work such as software development, software quality assurance and testing, software support and cloud.

Functional Delivery Teams

Under the delivery management umbrella are our Functional Delivery Teams. Working within an Agile environment, our Functional Delivery Teams consist of Technical Leads, Software Developers and Application Support Specialists. Functional team members usually have different responsibilities, but they all work together towards a common goal. These teams are self-managing and accountable to deliver solutions that meet our client expectations. Most importantly, they are accountable to each other and to other teams for delivering great work.

Operations is a cross-functional team within itself where the focus is the success of the organization, its people and our brand. This team works across all departments on a strategic and day-to-day level. Functions include our Executive Team, HR, Communications/Marketing, and Finance/Operations.

Our Selection
Process

While an advanced degree is not required, we seek passionate technologists who possess both technical and soft skills to excel on our team. Our selection process (below) is designed to assess the whole candidate and foster a mutual match for you and us.
But, we’re not all developers at Sulzer US. For those non-technical roles such as project management, operations and human resources - we skip the Codility Test.

The selection process typically includes two introductory phone interviews, with the second one being more in-depth and then we move into the final interview. We still like to see you in action, so we provide case studies or sample scenarios during the final steps of the interview process.

If your skills meet the position requirements, you will receive a link to complete a Codility Test. Here, we will assess your technical and problem-solving skills. Once submitted, a technical team member will grade and rank your test.

Introductory Phone Interview with a member of the Sulzer US Hiring Team to discuss what you are looking for in a role, as well as answer any high-level questions about us.

Virtual Technical Interview using Codility or Microsoft Teams with your future peers, diving into your technical and problem-solving skills.

Final Interview, either video or in-person, to enable our leaders to get to know you and give you the opportunity to share all your burning questions about Sulzer US, our culture, and your desired role.

Internships

Internships at Sulzer US are far from ordinary. When joining our team, interns experience the same day-to-day of a full-time employee. Interns are given the opportunity to create and build custom software solutions while working alongside our team of experienced software developers and project managers.
During our 12-week program, they dive head first into the world of tech to learn, grow, and be part of something big. While working with an on cutting edge tech, they also get to meet new people, discover new interests, and kick-start their career.
